David Finch is Professor of Management at Montclair State University Feliciano School of business. He is also, President and CEO of David Finch & Company a full service Human Resources Consulting Firm located in New York City. David was formerly Vice President of Operations Learning for Development for L’Oreal North America Corporate Operations. Previously he was Assistant Vice President of Corporate Human Resources Planning for L’Oreal USA in New York City. David was also Director of Human Resources for the company’s Luxury Products Ralph Lauren Designer Fragrance Manufacturing plants, and distribution centers in North Brunswick, N. J, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He began his L’Oreal USA career as Manager of Training & Development for the L’Oreal USA Consumer Products Clark, N.J Manufacturing plant.
David is an accomplished Human Resources Leader backed by a proven track record in managing a variety of human resources, diversity, corporate training and organizational development activities for multibillion-dollar worldwide corporations across multiple sites.
David has also held senior executive level positions in human resources, diversity management, and equal employment opportunity development with Bristol-Myers Squibb, the Hartford Financial Services Group, and ITT Corporation.
He has consulted to leading companies in many industries – including consumer products, financial services, and telecom. He has also consulted to government, and non-profit organizations.
David is a Professor of Management and currently teaches at Montclair State University Feliciano School of Business in both the undergraduate, MBA Program, and MBA On-line Program. He has taught Organizational Change, Training Development and Career Planning, Motivation & Leadership, Human Resources Management, Global Talent Management, Organizational Behavior, Industrial Psychology, International Human Resources Management, Strategic Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Ethics, Small Business Management, Family Management, Diversity and Inclusion, and Cross-Cultural Communication Skills.
